MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two (2) years administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Coordinates internal and external correspondence, documentation, and recordkeeping.

2. Performs receptionist functions for Respirator PFT & EEG for outpatients, visitors, vendors, physicians, etc.

3. Copies, distributes, and files memorandum, reports, and other information related to Respiratory Care and EEG and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.

4. Schedules and coordinates all inpatient and outpatient procedures with various departments and physicians. Confirms that information on physician script corresponds with diagnosis codes.

5. Prepares and completes timecards for review and approval by Director.

6. Accurately maintains computer/written records for all department charges/credits.

7. Orders all office supplies for the department.

8. Obtain insurance authorizations for Pulmonary Rehabilitation patients

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

2. Hybrid office setting with clinical setting. Office setting includes electrical equipment (i.e. telephone, personal computer, copier, fax machine, etc.). Clinical setting includes Infrequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, latex, and medications.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, including Word and Excel.

2. Ability to attend to more than one aspect of a situation simultaneously.

3. Efficiency in processing of verbal information, either in written or spoken form is a major requirement and prerequisite of the job.

4. Some independent thought, planning or origination of options and solutions is necessary.

5. Ability to apply principles of reasoning and problem solving to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
