Job Description

The Senior Director, Integrated Strategy leads a major function within the business, responsible for defining and executing long-term strategy. This role provides leadership across departments, influences enterprise priorities and ensures alignment of talent, structure and services with overall business objectives. They play a critical leadership role in driving client growth, retention, and new business through fully integrated, insight-led strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of the entire marketing ecosystem, spanning creative, media, data, CRM and technology, and the ability to synthesize these capabilities into cohesive solutions that solve complex client challenges.

As a senior leader, this individual partners closely with Sales and Account Management to shape opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and unlock growth across key accounts. They lead a team of strategists, guide internal strategic direction, and play a central role in positioning Iridio as a trusted, long-term partner to clients.

This role is highly client-facing, with responsibility for leading C-suite level conversations, translating business challenges into actionable strategies, and ensuring all work is aligned to measurable outcomes. This role sits at the center of Iridio by RRD's growth strategy, ensuring we are not just delivering services, but solving real business challenges for our clients. By connecting capabilities, strengthening partnerships, and leading with strategy, the Senior Director, Integrated Strategy drives both client success and long-term business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Integration
    • Develop long-term strategic vision for the Integrated Strategy function.
    • Oversee Directors and cross-functional senior managers; guide team performance and priorities.
    • Align resources, team structure, and operational plans with enterprise goals.
    • Influence organizational strategy through market insight, innovation, and solution packaging.
    • Drive executive-level conversations around client value, new service models, and growth.
    • Represent the function in senior forums, steering committees, and external engagements.
  • Client Growth & Retention
    • Lead the development of integrated, full-funnel strategies across media, creative, data, CRM, and technology
    • Synthesize Iridio's full suite of capabilities into cohesive, client-ready solutions
    • Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable, insight-driven strategies
    • Develop strategic frameworks and repeatable methodologies to scale across clients
    • Partner with Account Management to drive client retention & identify growth opportunities
    • Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, leading high-level planning and long-term roadmap development
    • Conduct strategic reviews, performance deep-dives & forward-looking planning sessions
  • New Business & Sales Partnership
    • Partner closely with Sales to shape, position, and win new business opportunities
    • Lead the strategic narrative for pitches, proposals, and enterprise-level engagements
    • Identify and define integrated solutions that differentiate Iridio in competitive scenarios
    • Support opportunity sizing, solution scoping, and client-specific strategic positioning
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Orchestration
    • Collaborate across creative, media, data, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of strategy
    • Guide internal strategic direction and contribute to the evolution of Iridio by RRD's go-to-market approach
    • Ensure strategies are aligned to client business objectives and deliver measurable impact
    • Ensure the right internal resources are leveraged to solve client challenges effectively
    • Act as the connective tissue across functions, ensuring alignment and clarity
  • Executive Communication & Thought Leadership
    • Lead C-suite level client meetings and presentations with confidence and clarity
    • Communicate complex ideas in a simple, compelling, and business-focused way
    • Contribute to thought leadership, POVs, and strategic narratives that position Iridio as an industry leader

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required.
  • Master's or MBA preferred
  • 9 years managing leaders and leading enterprise-level teams or functions.
  • 15+ progressive experience in strategy or solutions roles

Skills and Certifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of strategy, solutions, marketing services, and commercial strategy.
  • Strong business judgment and financial acumen to guide enterprise resource decisions.
  • Able to navigate competing priorities, balance vision with execution, and lead through change.
  • Exceptional ability to shape senior-level conversations and influence long-term direction.
  • Skilled in building enterprise alignment and developing cross-functional leadership talent.
  • Expert in developing compelling PowerPoint presentations that translate complex strategies into clear, actionable solutions, enabling internal teams and clients to align, activate & drive results.
  • Deep knowledge of the full marketing ecosystem (creative, media, data, CRM, and MarTech).
  • Ability to connect and synthesize multiple capabilities into integrated solutions.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on growth, retention, and revenue impact.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, especially at the executive level.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across functions.
  • Strategic thinking paired with practical execution and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated record of leading important marketing engagements and consulting initiatives for client organizations and building C Suite relationships. Ideally, this experience comes from both senior agency/consultancy experience.
  • Expert level understanding of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data assets and their respective role in driving marketing performance.
  • Strong understanding of marketing database strategies and applications, coupled with an ability to draw actionable insights from marketing data for client benefit.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $156,700 to $250,700 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
