Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Software Product Manager providing support to AFLCMC/C3BM and specifically the C3C/Kessel Run (KR) Division supporting FlightOps.

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA, but does have the ability to be worked remotely.



Responsibilities

Software Product Manager

The Contractor shall provide Software Product Manager support to assist the customer product line managers on day-to-day operations of developed applications. The Contractor shall have a strong bias for action, be a skilled communicator, assist at creating and documenting business case and shall assist the customer to ensure the application meets the customers' requirements. The Contractor shall be able to break down complex problems and back up recommendations to the customer with quantitative and qualitative reasoning. The Contractor shall assist in organizing and communicating the efforts of a cross-functional team including engineering, product management, application stakeholders, and program management for senior leadership.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Assist in developing a deep understanding of internal and external customers/ stakeholders and their use cases
  • Assist in creating a product vision and strategy within your product area to meet and address stakeholder requirements
  • Assist in the definition, monitoring and communication of Objectives and Key Results (OKR) for a product area
  • Assist in the creation of the product roadmap process, including defining the sequence of the roadmap an assuring that the initiatives within the roadmap align with the appropriate corresponding business objectives and metrics
  • Assist in defining and documenting product specifications and user stories to enable efficient implementation of new or enhanced features
  • Assist in building strong relationships with all levels throughout the organization, ensuring transparency across our roadmaps, managing trade-offs, driving organizational alignment, and maximizing business value
  • Partner closely with data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and product teammates to execute against the roadmap
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to continually improve our product in ways that matter most to our users and have the biggest impact on our OKRs.

Required skill may also include, but not be limited to:

  • Extensive product management experience in customer facing technology
  • Experience of leveraging testing and research techniques such as A/B or split testing, usability, and/or other customer research techniques
  • Experience in tactical experience with analytics and dashboarding tools such as Google Analytics, Google Optimize and Looker (or tools with similar functionality)
  • Experience with agile and lean methodologies
  • Experience with the full product development life cycle, with success managing medium to large size products through various phases, from vision to launch
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced tech-savvy organization
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience synthesizing data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to the senior leadership level
  • Experience with the full product development life cycle, with success managing medium to large size products through various phases, from vision to launch
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for customer-focused innovation.


Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Education: BA/BS Degree

Years of Experience: 10 years of directly related experience with 5 years of experience in a DoD setting

  • Extensive product management experience in customer facing technology
  • Experience of leveraging testing and research techniques such as A/B or spli testing, usability, and/or other customer research techniques
  • Experience in tactical experience with analytics and dashboarding tools such as Google Analytics, Google Optimize and Looker (or tools with similar functionality)
  • Experience with agile and lean methodologies
  • Experience with the full product development life cycle, with success managing medium to large size products through various phases, from vision to launch
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced tech-savvy organization
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience synthesizing data into actionable insights

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
