JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Software Development Engineer - Firmware (REQ# 200652113) in San Diego, California. Specify, design, and implement PHY L1 firmware for a state-of-the-art mobile wireless communication system. Implement critical scheduling and control processing within tight timelines while managing latency and energy constraints. Define interfaces to protocol stack, MAC/RRC, and required processor subsystems by working with Software Designers. Assist in the development of pre-silicon emulation systems/virtual platforms and use them for presilicon Ll FW design and verification. Evaluate and implement leading edge tools for build, formal verification, and testing. Define methodologies and standard methodologies.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 - $258,100/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
