UCF RESTORES:

UCF RESTORES is clinical research center and treatment clinic established to change the way posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related concerns are understood, diagnosed and treated. UCF RESTORES' first-of-its-kind approach to treatment - including a highly successful intensive outpatient program - combines evidence-based individual exposure therapy, virtual reality technology, and group treatment sessions to help those suffering in the wake of trauma.

The Opportunity:

The University of Central Florida UCF RESTORES is seeking qualified candidates for a Mental Health Clinician II position. UCF RESTORES is a provider of evidence-based Trauma Management Therapy. The Mental Health Clinician II is responsible for providing empirically supported treatments to clients with anxiety, stress, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide individual therapy services, group therapy services, assessments, crisis intervention and consultation, evaluation and support services.

  • Responsible for integrating technology into the delivery of prevention, resilience, and intervention efforts, including the use of virtual reality and virtual environments, web-based technologies, and mobile phone applications.

  • Provide outreach programming and workshops on developmental, preventative, peer-support and psychological topics.

  • Assist with training programs for first responders, clinicians, graduate students, and medical students.

  • Serve as liaison between UCF RESTORES and community based agencies, mental health hospitals and private practitioners.

  • Assist administrators and groups in resolving specific program problems and in disseminating information in regard to clinic rules, policies, and contracts.

  • May perform other clinical or administrative duties as requested.


Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor by the State of Florida and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience providing Trauma Management Therapy.

  • Experience providing individual and group therapy services, including assessment, crisis intervention, and consultation.

  • Experience collaborating with community partners, hospitals, first responders, or multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and outreach services.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $56,030 - $65,600. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

  • All applicants need to attach a scanned copy of their State of Florida Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor license to be considered.   • Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
