This handson, datadriven role supports catastrophe modeling and exposure management activities that inform underwriting decisions, portfolio strategy, regulatory reporting, and reinsurance planning. You'll work closely with senior modelers, underwriters, and crossfunctional partners while developing strong technical and analytical skills.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving analytical problems, and learning how catastrophe models shape insurance decisions.

How You Will Create an Impact

  • Run catastrophe models and exposure analyses across Property lines to support underwriting, portfolio optimization, and event response.
  • Retrieve, prepare, validate, and maintain exposure data in accordance with internal data quality standards and modeling best practices.
  • Learn and apply the purpose, assumptions, limitations, and appropriate uses of thirdparty vendor models and internal modeling tools.
  • Support enhancements to modeling workflows, documentation, and automation.
  • Produce exposure summaries, modeled loss outputs, and portfolio insights for internal stakeholders, including regulatory and event loss reporting.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and senior modelers on accountlevel risk evaluation, accumulation monitoring, and reinsurance considerations.
  • Assist in building and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Identify data issues, communicate findings, and contribute to process improvements, documentation, and automation.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, data science, economics).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred

  • Interest or experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with relational databases or exposure data structures.
  • Interest in catastrophe modeling, insurance, or risk analytics.
