Here's what it takes to succeed with us.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
• 5-8 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Aerospace purchasing experience (aftermarket preferred) strongly desired
• Experience sourcing metals, castings, forgings, machining, and related materials preferred
• APICS certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, government regulations, and ERP/MRP systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proven contract negotiation and supplier management experience
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
• Results-driven with strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to meet U.S. export control requirements

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on capability, pricing, performance, and compliance with company/government standards
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery terms, and conditions with vendors
• Prepare bid packages, review proposals, and support vendor selection and final award decisions
• Manage purchase orders within ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate supplier records
• Monitor supplier performance and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and issue resolution
• Procure complex materials and services (e.g., castings, forgings, raw materials, machining, outside processing)
• Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to align pricing, lead times, and forecasts
• Develop sourcing strategies and build strong cross-functional relationships with sales, planning, and operations
• Identify and qualify new domestic and international suppliers, including aerospace-qualified vendors
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, vendor consolidation, and continuous improvement efforts
• Lead, mentor, and support junior buyers in procurement activities and forecasting
