THOR Solutionsis looking for a highly motivatedIntegrated LogisticsSupport (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialistto supporttheUnited States Coast Guard (USCG)Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Resident Inspection Office (RIO) inMobile, AL.

This position is associated with an upcoming contract that THOR is pursuing. We are conducting preliminary, "contingent"hiring forroles associated with this contract. The work start is dependent upon THOR being awarded this contract.

TypicalResponsibilities:

  • Prepare outfitting and configuration management materials (e.g.charts, briefs) for Project reviewsand generate ad-hoc outfitting reports.
  • Participate in outfitting material aboard the cutter.
  • Participate in Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
  • Attend meetings in relation to assignedtasks asdesignatedby the COR.
  • Prepare and provide presentations for outfitting and PCA status.

Location:Primarily onsite at USCG Shipyard Facility in Mobile, AL.

Travel:Up to 10%travelisanticipated.

Typical Physical Requirements:Mix of desk/computer work in an office environment and periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. Mayinvolverepetitive motion, traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.

Eligibility for a SECRET Security Clearance is Required: This position requires eligibility for a Secret security clearance, to be obtained afterhire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business field or related technical/business field.
    • In lieu of aBachelor'sdegree,four (4)additionalyears of relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least three(3)yearsofrelevantexperiencesupportinglogisticsor configuration and shipbuilding processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes such as:
    • Technical Assessment Review (TAR).
    • Proposal development.
    • Equipment life cycle cost.
    • Logisticslife cyclesustainment.
    • Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
    • Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) processes.
    • Outfitting/loadout of ship.
    • Configuration Management.
    • Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to organize, plan, conduct, evaluate and administer the outfitting/configuration program.
  • Ability to produce reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Experience with vesseloutfitting,equipment validation, storeroom placements, VIN marking, product tracking, and logistic impacts.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook, as well as other software/tools provided on the Coast Guard Standard Workstation.
  • Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
