Sand Lake Scale House (Seasonal)

General Summary:

Anchorage Sand & Gravel Co., Inc is hiring for a Scale Person. This position is responsible for correctly ticketing all trucks to match materials, weight, price, etc. at the Sand Lake Scale House. Including answering phone calls, talking to customers and contractors. This is a seasonal, full-time position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or preferred
• MS Office proficient. Knowledge of computer invoicing is desirable.
• Good math skills. Knowledge of calculators to provide multiple arithmetic operations.
• Knowledge of construction industry and products is desirable.
• Posses organizational as well as oral and written skills sufficient to deal with customers and fellow employees.
• Provide a professional and positive attitude
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime
• Must have Alaska Driver's License and own transportation

Essential Job Functions:

• Make sure that all scale tickets match material, weight and price, double-check for correctness. All tickets have to be signed.
• Close all paperwork at the end of day.
• Watch for trucks that are leaking fluid and contact Operations Manager immediately and provide truck number.
