Aerospace Distribution Team Lead

PPG's Aerospace Business is looking for a Distribution Team Lead to join our team in Mojave! As the Distribution Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 25 employees across day shift. You will be very hands-on, on the floor with your team on a daily basis.

This is an onsite position in Mojave, CA and will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the assembly, distribution, receiving and storage of supplied and manufactured products from the Mojave site.

• Manage the warehouse, product assembly, raw material receipt, and product shipping.

• Assure safe work practices are established and followed in regard to both people and equipment, through effective training and written procedures.

• Assure packing, receiving and shipping targets are achieved or exceeded.

• Assure financial budget targets are maintained or reduced.

• Champion 5S standards with the team to create a continual effort to eliminate waste.

• Improve workforce skill through continued cross-functional training activities and team project involvement.

• Oversee continuous improvement efforts/projects to improve processes and reduce costs.

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements at all times.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

• 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience preferred.

• Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems required; QAD experience helpful.

• Must possess functional knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Word programs.

• Must have knowledge of DOT regulations.

• Experience in a high volume production environment.
