Hourly Pay Range: $39.72 - $61.57 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: CT Technologist Lead Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights, IL Full Time: 40 hours weekly Hours: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm
What you will need:
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associate's Degree or higher, preferred Certification: CPR (BLS) from the American Heart Association and ARRT (CT) current registration License: IEMA licensure Experience: 2-3 years experience as a CT Technologist Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to troubleshoot problems as related to software. Post processing for CTA-Perfusion/Siemen experience, preferred.
What you will do: Clinical & Technical Responsibilities:
Perform complex CT scans (trauma, contrast studies, interventional support) Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort Monitor image quality and make adjustments to optimize diagnostic results Administer contrast agents and watch for adverse reactions Follow radiation safety standards (ALARA principles)
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Supervise and support CT technologists and support staff Train new hires and mentor junior technologists Create and manage staff schedules and coverage Contact for workflow or staffing issues Promote teamwork and maintain morale Lead and support departmental initiatives that extend beyond routine daily operations, contributing to longterm planning, process improvement, and strategic goals Involved with interviewing and hiring of new staff
Operations & Workflow Management:
Oversee daily CT department workflow and patient throughput at hospital as well as at off-sites Coordinate with radiologists, ER, inpatient units, and other departments Ensure timely completion of exams and minimize delays Troubleshoot equipment or process issues in real time Perform payroll functions with precision, ensuring timely and accurate processing for each pay period.
Equipment & Quality Control:
Ensure CT scanners are functioning properly and calibrated Coordinate maintenance and service with vendors/biomedical teams Perform and document quality assurance (QA) checks Work closely with Clinical Engineering and OEM in regards to equipment issues.
Compliance, Safety & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements Maintain compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., ACR, IEMA) Enforce infection control and patient privacy standards (HIPAA) Monitor radiation dose tracking and reporting
Training & Education:
Ensure ongoing education and competency assessments for staff Keep team updated on new protocols, technology, and best practices Assist in developing department policies and procedures Financial Tracking & Reporting Monitor and analyze CT departmental financial metrics, including: Exam volumes Revenue capture Charge accuracy Overtime and labor utilization Supply and contrast usage Review/comment on monthly and quarterly financial reports. Ensure compliance with billing, coding, and documentation standards to maximize reimbursement accuracy.
