Job Description: Reporting to the VP, Robotics, HIP and Digital Solutions, The Director, Robotics Sales is a senior commercial leader responsible for defining and executing the strategic sales vision for the Robotics, HIP, Digital, and High Technology product portfolios. This role drives sustainable topline growth, expands market presence, and strengthens ESAB's ecosystem of resellers, integrators, and strategic endusers. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director provides thought leadership on market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements, ensuring that sales strategies are aligned with ESAB's broader business and innovation roadmap. This is a fieldbased role with broad responsibility for market development, strategic partnerships, and ensuring highimpact engagement across the customer lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
- Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and marketshare objectives across Robotics, HIP, Digital, and High Technology product lines.
- Build, scale, and optimize sales channels-including direct sales, resellers, and integrators-to ensure longterm growth and predictable pipeline generation.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and influence product and gotomarket strategies in partnership with the Product Management and Marketing teams.
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Establish and maintain executivelevel relationships with key customers, integrators, and strategic partners to strengthen ESAB's position as a trusted robotics and digital solutions provider.
- Lead high-impact engagements with major end-users; champion ESAB's total value proposition and ensure delivery of technical expertise, demonstrations, and solutions that drive customer success.
- Oversee the development of targeted programs, promotions, and training initiatives to increase adoption and share through key account and channel partners.
Organizational Leadership & CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Provide coaching, direction, and leadership to sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support coordinated execution of commercial strategies.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, R&D, Marketing, and Operations to ensure successful delivery of technical customer projects and continuous product enhancement.
- Represent the voice of the customer across the organization, ensuring customer insights shape product development and strategic planning.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and rigorous pipeline management to support business planning and executive reporting.
- Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and technology advancements to guide senior leadership decision-making.
- Lead and support corporate and regional strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Assume additional leadership responsibilities as required to advance the company's strategy and commercial goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive industrial sales experience, including leadership responsibility for strategic accounts, channel management, or technology-driven solutions.
- Proven track record of delivering abovetarget revenue performance in high-technology or industrial automation markets.
- Exceptional strategic thinking capability with demonstrated success developing and executing complex sales strategies.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including Csuite stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and influence teams within a matrixed environment.
- Customercentric mindset with a disciplined, structured approach to sales execution and problem solving.
- Experience driving alignment and buyin across cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical acumen related to automation, robotics, digital solutions, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
Work Environment
- Position requires remaining in a stationary role up to 50% of the time, with periodic physical activity including walking, standing, and navigating stairs.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required when visiting manufacturing or plant environments.
- Frequent use of computers, mobile devices, and standard office equipment.
- Ability to move or transport equipment up to 50 lbs; may push/pull up to 200 lbs using approved safety tools.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during travel.
- Domestic travel required approximately 80%.
Pay Range:
$131,699.00-$153,599.00
