Overview GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: UMass Chan Medical School is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to serve as a Sustainability Intern supporting a variety of sustainability programs and initiatives across campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in sustainability, environmental studies, public health, or community engagement to gain professional experience in higher education and facilities management. This is a temporary, non-benefitted role. Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sustainability Intern will support the Office of Sustainability and Facilities Management with a range of projects, including but not limited to: Program Support & Project Assistance * Support planning and implementation of campus sustainability events, campaigns, and outreach efforts. Research & Data Support Communications & Outreach Resource & Content Development Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Current student or recent graduate (within the past 1-2 years) in environmental studies, sustainability, public health, communications, or a related field.* Demonstrated interest in sustainability and environmental issues. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Coursework or experience related to sustainability, environmental science, or public health.
