What to Expect

The Supply Chain Analytics team, part of the Process & Analytics organization, provides dedicated analytical support to operational teams across Tesla's supply chain - driving process improvements and strategic decision-making through data.

In this role, you will serve as the primary Data Analyst supporting the Supplier Operations Support (SOS) organization. You will be the go-to expert for chargeback analytics, supplier compliance data, and SOS operational reporting. You will be responsible for designing and managing supplier chargeback programs, building dashboards to track supplier performance, and developing automated data pipelines to drive accountability across the supply chain. Working closely with the SOS team, you will leverage the standards, tools, and expertise of the central Analytics team. The ideal candidate is a curious and driven analyst who excels at building strong stakeholder relationships, automating data workflows, and solving complex business problems with data.


What You'll Do
  • Design, implement, and manage supplier chargeback programs including logic development, simulation, validation, and rollout
  • Build and maintain operational dashboards for SOS KPIs, chargeback tracking, supplier compliance, and program performance using Tableau, or similar tools. Develop and maintain automated data pipelines for chargeback processing, compliance monitoring, and supplier performance reporting
  • Validate chargeback logic, investigate false positives, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy across all chargeback programs
  • Leverage AI tools and internal platforms for data extraction, document processing, data migration, and automation of manual workflows. Partner cross-functionally with SOS/IT teams, SCMs, planning teams, IT, and regional stakeholders (NA, EMEA) to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Support leadership with dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, roadmap documentation, and quarterly achievement summaries
  • Independently manage multiple analytical projects and data support requests, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met
  • Partner with IT and systems teams to define system requirements and participate in the software development lifecycle, from design to user acceptance testing

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Economics) and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability with 2+ years of work experience in supply chain analytics, supplier operations, chargeback management, or a related analytical role
  • Strong proficiency in querying large datasets using SQL
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly and concisely
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and automated reporting workflows
  • A collaborative, flexible, and open working style with the ability to build trust and credibility across teams
  • Experience with a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R) is highly preferred
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or similar is highly preferred

    Expected Compensation
    $100,000 - $180,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
