| Job Summary |
Responsible for piping infrastructure involving water, air, steam, and various chemicals. Use stock and die or pipe threading machine in performance of work. Perform preventative maintenance related to water treatment. Connects and maintains all piping to pumps, tanks, vessels, etc. Maintains and replaces drain lines and steam traps. Demonstrate attention to details, resolve routine problems, and follow procedures and instructions. Inspects and oversees contractor work. Position includes work inside cramped or confined spaces. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
High school diploma or
GED equivalent. 3 years of Pipefitting and/or related fields experience with knowledge of
HVAC mechanical equipment . Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record and have successfully completed confined space training. |

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Perform preventative maintenance on hydronic piping infrastructure.
- Replace and install various pipes, steam traps, heating valves, etc.
- Inspects and oversees contractor work.
- Replace or repair pumps and motor as needed, and other duties as assigned.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driver rating as established in Policy: UTS157 Section 2.5.4.

Work Notice: Work will be performed on site and in-person. May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure.
