Cubic | Nuvotronics' Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Team is a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians who translate designs from our electrical engineering design team into buildable products. As an Assembly Technician within this team, you will be responsible for supporting production builds and complex prototypes as skills increase. You will work on tasks with outlined work instructions but on occasion need to exercise judgement on builds and make recommendations to the engineering staff. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Previous experience with running computer-controlled machinery is preferred. Specifically, this role will be working with pick-and-place and wirebonding machines, among other more manual electronics fabrication tools. Job Details: Job Summary: Cubic | Nuvotronics' Assembly Department is responsible for the electro-mechanical assembly of our PolyStrata products, using both automated equipment and skilled manual processes. As a Technician II within this team, you will be responsible for supporting prototype and production builds. You will need to exercise judgement on builds and make recommendations to the engineering staff. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Previous experience with manual assembly work of electronic devices is preferred, particularly experience assembling miniature devices under microscopes. This role is for second shift. Expected hours are from 3:00PM to 12:30AM. Role will be expected to work first shift (8:00AM to 5:30PM) until training is complete (2-3 months). Nuvotronics works a 9/80 schedule.
