What you'll do Sprout Social's Finance team isn't your typical month-end close type of department. We're building out financial systems to support every business production, so our Lead Accountant gets a granular view and understanding of how a business scales from the ground up. Although we might live in spreadsheets and provide financial information to the business, that's only the tip of the iceberg. The knowledge to gain is vast, as is the potential of our organization to continue growing. What you'll bring Since this role is about raising the bar, we're looking for someone with experience in Finance/Accounting within a high-growth technical company (tools, best practices (US GAAP), relevant laws and regulations, etc.) and a strategic lens (connecting day-to-day work (account reconciliations, journal entries, etc.) with bigger-picture organizational objectives. The businesses we serve rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships through social media. Individual pay is based on geographic zone, relevant experience, and skills. Our current hiring range for this role: $99,200 - $122,700annually. Offers are made within this range, with opportunities to grow within the broader band based on performance and impact. We share both our current hiring range and our broader geographic salary bands to provide transparency into our compensation philosophy. This ensures you understand not only your starting potential but also the long-term growth potential available as you progress in your role. We have two geographic pay zones in the United States: Zone 1 (New York, California, Washington): $109,100 - $150,040 Zone 2 (All other US states): $$99,200 - $136,400 These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
