Machine Learning/AI Associate
Position Description
The Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence Associate (GIS & Broadband Focus) is a quantitative, technical role supporting CQA's AI, machine learning, and geospatial analytics programs. The associate will help build and train ML models using broadband infrastructure data, geospatial datasets, satellite imagery, and nationalscale telecomrelated datasets.
Position Responsibilities
Machine Learning & AI Development (60%)
Build, train, and validate ML models using geospatial datasets, imagery, and broadband infrastructure data.
Support computer vision initiatives, including object detection.
Implement scalable model pipelines.
Apply ML techniques to broadband cost modeling and network planning.
GIS, Data Engineering & Quantitative Research (30%)
Manage, clean, and process large geospatial datasets.
Develop spatial ETL workflows.
Assist with geospatial database development and API integrations.
Conduct spatial statistical analyses.
Product & Knowledge Development (10%)
Support enhancements to CQA's geospatial and broadband analytical products.
Contribute geospatial insights to research reports.
Document processes and develop internal GIS/AI best practices.
Education:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Geography, Geomatics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
Required Skills:
Familiarity with GIS concepts and spatial data formats.
Experience with ML fundamentals and Python ML frameworks.
Ability to work with large spatial datasets.
Understanding of ETL and data engineering.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, GDAL, PostGIS.
Experience with computer vision.
Knowledge of broadband datasets or telecom infrastructure.
Familiarity with cloud computing.
Other Requirements:
Occasional travel to Seattle, Cincinnati or client locations
To meet the U.S. Government clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to pass a U.S. Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the U.S. for the past three (3) years.
