About This Role

Our client, a leading e-commerce company, is seeking a Marketing Program Manager to provide immediate coverage for their Private Brands Go-to-Market Operations team. This is a short-term, high-impact opportunity to jump into an active portfolio and drive critical product launches and marketing activations.

You'll be managing a focused portfolio of large-scale, high-visibility programs-including a major private label rebrand initiative-requiring extensive cross-functional coordination across inventory, supply chain, packaging, marketing, merchandising, and category management teams.

This role requires someone who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time and thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where stakeholder management and proactive problem-solving are essential.

What You'll Be Working On

Primary Initiative:

  • Lead program management for a complete private label rebrand, including product packaging redesign, supply chain coordination, inventory management, and integrated marketing activation across all channels

Supporting Programs:

  • 3-5 additional marketing activation campaigns partnering with retail, category management, and merchandising teams
  • Volume is intentionally lower (4-6 concurrent programs vs. 30+) to allow focus on the complexity and scale of each initiative

What You'll Do

  • Execute immediately: Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and workback schedules with minimal onboarding-this role requires rapid integration into active programs
  • Manage up effectively: Work directly with Director and Senior Director-level stakeholders to maintain alignment, communicate progress, and drive decisions
  • Wrangle large, complex teams: Coordinate across Marketing, Creative, Channels, Site Experience, CRM, Merchandising, Inventory, Supply Chain, Packaging, and external partners
  • Drive speed to market: Proactively identify roadblocks, negotiate timelines, and push programs forward without waiting for perfect information
  • Own end-to-end delivery: Serve as the single point of accountability for program status, dependencies, and successful on-time completion
  • Establish mechanisms: Create durable routines and reporting structures that enable efficient cross-functional execution
  • Master project management tools: Utilize software platforms to navigate program stage gates, track deliverables, and capture key project data
  • Be the subject matter expert: Proactively set and manage expectations throughout the engagement lifecycle

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 5-7 years of program/project management experience in marketing, with proven ability to manage product launches or integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience managing large, complex programs (not high-volume task management-this is about depth and stakeholder complexity)
  • Direct experience working with senior leadership and comfort managing up to Director+ levels
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet (critical); Workfront experience is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and act as a self-starter who drives initiatives forward independently
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfort with short-term engagements: Ability to deliver impact quickly in a defined timeframe
  • Available to start immediately with 1-2 weeks overlap for knowledge transfer

Preferred:

  • Experience with contract/consultant work or covering maternity leaves (demonstrates adaptability to short-term, high-impact engagements)
  • Background in retail, CPG, or e-commerce environments
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels
  • Familiarity with additional PM tools: PowerPoint, Confluence, or similar
  • PMP certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field

Key Success Factors

  • Self-starter mentality: Push things forward versus waiting for direction
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Navigate unclear situations with confidence
  • Proven track record: Demonstrated ability to gain trust quickly and maintain composure under pressure
  • Detail-oriented: Excellent attention to detail with effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Team player: Passionate about fostering positive team dynamics and culture
  • Analytical thinking: Use data-driven, innovative, quick-on-your-feet thinking to adapt plans while delivering on time and on budget

Why This Role

  • High visibility: Direct exposure to senior leadership and business-critical initiatives
  • Meaningful impact: Your work will directly influence a major brand transformation
  • Future opportunities: While this is a defined 3-month engagement, similar program manager roles frequently open across different business units with this client
