Description

The System Security Analyst II acts as the technical expert responsible for the oversight and coordination of information technology security efforts to reduce risks to the organization's core systems and applications. This position monitors, evaluates, and maintains security systems to protect Network Health's critical information assets from internal and external threats and vulnerabilities. The System Security Analyst II performs periodic security reviews of Network Health's application and service vendors to ensure adequate controls are in place to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of Network Health's systems and data.

Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. This position is eligible to work at your home office (reliable internet is required).

Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. After hours, weekend, and on-call will be required occasionally.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Monitor and evaluate adherence to security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Implement and support security controls and frameworks that strengthen protection of information assets
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and system activity to identify anomalies, suspicious behavior, or policy violations
  • Administer and maintain security technologies including encryption, firewalls, authentication systems, intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management solutions
  • Investigate security events and vulnerabilities; recommend and support remediation and risk mitigation actions
  • Develop and maintain processes and reporting to support compliance tracking and security control effectiveness
  • Support internal and external security assessments, audits, and third-party questionnaires
  • Participate in incident response activities, including after-hours response when necessary
  • Contribute to risk assessments, security awareness initiatives, security projects, and the development and improvement of security policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve security controls, detection capabilities, and operational processes, and help implement enhancements that strengthen the organization's security posture
  • Participate in evaluating and piloting new security tools, technologies, and practices to improve threat detection, response, and overall security effectiveness
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration, cybersecurity, or a related IT role.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing, supporting, or administering security controls and risk mitigation practices in an enterprise environment preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments (e.g., HIPAA) preferred
