Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to be based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources - Plastic Pipe & Conduit, this person will be responsible for leading and executing talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, and coaching and counseling of the facility management team. This individual will be responsible for the development and administration of HR policies and procedures, as well as administering corporate policies. This position partners closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to understand business issues and bring solutions that advance the organizational goals and priorities.

What you'll do:



  • Lead Human Resources operations for Atkore's Louisville, KY manufacturing facility, supporting a multiple shift manufacturing operation and aligning HR initiatives with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with plant and functional leadership, as well as business unit leadership to get input on HR decisions and ensures delivery of high-quality HR processes.
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for hourly and salaried roles including recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Continuously refine job descriptions and train hiring managers on Atkore's Recruitment and Selection process and best practices.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce all standard work, established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies and action plans that strengthen employee engagement and alignment, fostering a positive work environment and driving long-term retention.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues and complaints, including Compliance Hotline investigations, and implement appropriate corrective actions to mitigate risk.
  • Coach and provide guidance to managers on performance management, employee relations, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with employment related laws (EEO, OSHA, FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, etc.) including maintaining employee files.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database, as well as updates job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Drive on-time delivery of annual HR processes such as merit review, organizational leadership review, compliance action plans, and performance reviews etc.
  • Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and completes assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of HR systems.
  • Ability to confidently engage with business leaders, demonstrating ease in respectfully challenging perspectives when necessary to achieve optimal solutions for organizational success.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company; ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore onboarding and immersion program, focusing on understanding Atkore's culture, the Atkore Business System, and building relationships across your client groups and the Atkore HR team.
  • Understand how your job impacts Atkore and how your objectives align with Atkore's strategic priorities.
  • Have a general understanding of the HRBP role at Atkore and be gradually delivering value to your client groups.


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Be leading the full-cycle recruitment process for the openings in the groups you support through a new hires' onboarding and immersion experience.
  • Have established strong working relationships the leadership team you support, built rapport with employees across your client group, and be seen as a valued peer across the Plastic Pipe & Conduit HR team.
  • Be familiar with all daily and other responsibilities of an HRBP at Atkore and performing with minimal oversight.


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Have established a reputation for yourself as a reliable and indispensable member of the Plastic Pipe & Conduit HR team and top talent for Atkore.
  • Be relied on by your client groups as a value thought partner for all people-related issues.
  • Be sought-after across the broader HR team for your talent, work product, enthusiasm and reliability.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $79,280 to $109,010. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
