Industrial Fabric Technician

Ready to be a cornerstone of our Mandeville fabrication shop? We are seeking a hands-on Fabric Technician to help us scale our operations through expert welding, sewing, and precision maintenance of our signature Tents and structures that we rent to our customers.

Position Objective:

The Fabric Technician assists in the manufacturing of PVC covers for the tents and structures we rent, sell and install. This position is also responsible for the cleaning and repair of the covers returning from the field.

Position Responsibilities:

• Mathematical Precision: Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) and-crucially-the ability to accurately read and translate tape measurements to 1/16th of an inch.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Proven "hands-on" experience with industrial tools or machinery; comfort troubleshooting and maintaining equipment like heat welders or industrial sewing machines is a plus.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to read, interpret, and execute work based on fabric drawings, blueprints, or technical plans.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with a small, tight-knit team and report directly to management.
• Operate cleaning equipment to maintain and clean fabric.
• Perform general housekeeping of warehouse and exterior premises daily
• Attend all required safety meetings and required training
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
• All work is performed in a warehouse environment.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting/moving heavy fabric rolls or structural components (up to 50+ lbs) as needed.
• Reliability: As part of a small 2-3 person core team, consistent attendance and a "find-a-way" attitude are essential to our shop's success.
