Position: Production Associate

Location: Oelwein, IA

Shift: 1st 6:00AM-4:30PM -Monday-Friday

Pay: $18.00hr.

Department: Manufacturing / Production / Assembly / Finishing

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Production Associate. The Production Associate is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations by producing high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. This role follows established production procedures while meeting quality and performance standards. The position works collaboratively with team members to support production schedules and continuous improvement efforts. Attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential for success.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Production Associate, you will:




  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment



  • Perform sanding, puttying, scraping, and surface preparation to meet product specifications



  • Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively



  • Apply, wipe, and finish stain on products to achieve required quality standards



  • Load and unload materials and finished products throughout the production process



  • Assemble products and components according to established work instructions



  • Package and box finished products for shipment and storage



  • Inspect parts and finished products for accuracy, quality, and proper identification



  • Verify product counts and documentation before transferring items to the next production stage



  • Support production schedules and help meet daily manufacturing goals



  • Participate in team meetings and quality control initiatives



  • Perform additional duties to support operations as needed


Requirements
Qualifications & Skills



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred



  • Minimum of six (6) months related manufacturing or production experience preferred



  • Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately



  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions



  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards



  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials up to and exceeding 50 pounds



  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions



  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8-10 hour shifts)



  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
