Air Liquide is Hiring for a Sales Engineering Intern in Newport, DE!

  • Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Length: 10 Week Internship Program

  • Relocation: No Relocation will be provided for this position

The Sales Engineering Intern will support the Air Liquide Newport, DE Manufacturing site and the Sales Team at the Turbo, Santa Ana, Manufacturing Site. This role will report directly to the General Manager of Air Liquide Advanced Separations and Turbo.

Responsibilities
  • Learn the responsibilities of an engineer while incorporating academic knowledge into hands-on work.

  • Develop working understanding of the manufacturing environment and intercompany business

  • Gain hands-on experience working with other engineers, and affiliates .

  • Work independently as well as with other cross-functional resources to complete various tasks and objectives.

  • Work independently as well as with cross functional teams (including but not limited to sales , engineering, manufacturing functions) to implement sales process improvements using AI and latest tools .

  • Review sales , operations with manufacturing personnel, training manager, and engineering. This includes reviewing current quoting and sales process , procedures, and with use of AI and IT tools make it faster and more efficient.

  • Prepare tools to make sales quoting process more efficient at Turbo and present a summary of experiences and lessons learned to Management staff at conclusion of internship

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including sales, engineering, and manufacturing) to implement sales process enhancements leveraging AI and modern tools.

  • Evaluate current sales and operations processes, procedures, and quoting practices with manufacturing, the training manager, and engineering. Utilize AI and IT tools to streamline and improve efficiency.

  • Develop tools to optimize the Turbo sales quoting process and conclude the internship by presenting a summary of experiences and key takeaways to Management staff.

Requirements

  • Must have completed at least Freshman year of college while pursuing a Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field

  • Working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets and Slides and also Microsoft Word desirable.

  • Willingness to learn new skills

  • Flexible schedule

  • Strong written, organizational, and communications skills

  • 15% domestic travel to manufacturing site in Santa Ana, CA

Working Conditions

  • Use of Computer (audio/visual equipment)
