Role Overview

The Communications Coordinator supports the planning, creation, and execution of internal and external communications while also providing administrative and operational support to the communications team. This role helps keep projects organized, timelines on track, and digital collaboration tools up to date. It's ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position is 25-35 hours per week (part time)

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Content Support



  • Draft, edit, and proofread content for emails, newsletters, websites, social media, press materials, and internal communications
  • Support internal communications, including company announcements, presentations, and employee updates
  • Assist with campaign planning, execution, and content calendars
  • Maintain brand voice and visual standards across all communications


Administrative & Operational Support



  • Provide administrative support for the communications team, including scheduling meetings, coordinating approvals, and tracking deadlines
  • Manage and support sponsorship and charitable donation requests, including intake, evaluation, approvals, tracking, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, editorial calendars, and communications archives
  • Support budget tracking, vendor coordination, and invoice processing as needed
  • Assist with event logistics, launches, and special initiatives


Digital Tools & Team Coordination



  • Use digital team management tools (e.g. Airtable, Smartsheet) to manage tasks, timelines, and workflows
  • Update and monitor project dashboards to ensure visibility into team priorities and progress
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs and follow-ups to keep projects moving forward
  • Own day-to-day management of the team's corporate website pages, including publishing and updating content, maintaining site accuracy and consistency, and coordinating reviews and approvals across the organization.


Measurement & Reporting



  • Track and report on communications performance metrics (email engagement, social media analytics, website traffic)
  • Assist with media monitoring, press lists, and basic media outreach


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, or administrative support roles (internships count)
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and administrative skills
  • Experience using digital collaboration or project management tools preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

The compensation range for this position is between $23-25 per hour depending on experience and location
