Summer 2026 Internship Snapshot

  • The Internship Program is a full-time (40 hours) opportunity that runs May 20 through August 14

The Opportunity at Hand

The role of the Product Marketing Intern is an integral member of the Licensed Marketing Team adding value through supporting key product storytelling efforts across league moments and seasonal collections. This intern will gain meaningful exposure to product launches, brand positioning, and emphasizing key selling points.

Projects & Tasks

  • Learn about all of the different headwear and apparel products that New Era Cap has to offer
  • Support the Licensed Marketing Team by helping to educate its members on new products and their intricacies
  • Author Product Copy for select programs
  • Brainstorm ways to showcase product features in new and innovative ways
  • Assist with PR-related content development
  • Support the Licensed Marketing Team's Go-To Market Strategy from a product lens
  • Research athletes/influencers who would be ideal for new and emerging products
  • Analyze how competitors are marketing their products
  • Aid product seeding efforts
  • Help to organize marketing photography samples
  • Collaborate with the Licensed Marketing Team to author re-cap decks, featuring product information
  • Work with the Licensed Marketing Team to help ensure smooth product launches
  • Keep all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other projects as assigned

What you will need to make an impact

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new system
  • Comfortable collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate professionally via phone, email, and in-person
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to respond quickly to changing circumstances
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to enhance existing processes and solutions
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive, with a track record of managing change with persistence and urgency


Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Communications, Marketing or a related field

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
