The Opportunity at Hand

The role of the E-Commerce Data Analyst Intern is an integral member of the E-Commerce adding value through assisting with reports, analyzing data, and delivering key insights to support decision-making and optimize performance. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will conduct analyses such as forecasting and segmentation while staying updated on industry trends to enhance reporting and strategies.

Projects & Tasks

  • Build scalable, repeatable reporting processes to provide the eCommerce team with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business metrics
  • Clearly communicate data and insights in a concise and decision-impacting manner through visualizations, presentations, and written reports at all levels of the Ecom organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, buying, IT, Retail, and leadership to analyze and interpret data for strategic decision-making
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve eCommerce results, optimize channel-level activities, and support the development of broader eCommerce strategies
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis, including segmentation, consumer profiling, and trend forecasting
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve the quality and relevance of reporting
  • Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and on-going reports, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across multiple business units
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
  • The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges, as well as offer recommendations to on-going processes


Education and Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program within Merchandising, Marketing, Business Analytics or a related field
  • Strong computer skills: Shopify, Klaviyo, Tapcart, Figma, SAP and Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize new systems
  • Does not require knowledge of code

This role is 100% in-person and requires on-site attendance five days a week at our Headquarters building located in downtown Buffalo. The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
