Job Description

Pay Range: $78,850 - $98,575 per year



  • Provide guidance to supervisory personnel regarding fair and equitable treatment, compliance with contract, policies, practices, procedures and government laws and regulations. Represent company and issue decisions during grievance meetings and Board of Adjustments with the union.
  • Recruit for vacancies for all levels/ positions. Oversee staffing for hourly, union positions through clerical staff utilizing the uniform hiring process and posting process. Generate staffing reports as needed.
  • Conduct investigations.
  • Analyze statistical and case specific data and develop recommendations for timely correction of safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate assessments/records of Team Member concerns, complaints and issues that arise out of the course of employment and provide guidance to management to ensure that they are brought to conclusion.
  • Receive and process EDD claims and represent the company at hearings as required.
  • Coordinate or assist in all recognition and social events such as company picnics, holiday luncheons or dinners, service awards, retirement celebrations and Community events, etc.
  • Assist with special projects when necessary, such as budget reconciliation and other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Assist in creating and submitting wage proposal recommendations based on surveys for all areas of responsibility.
  • Act as company representative as requested at Worker's Compensation meetings.
  • Assume responsibility for Human Resource Manager's tasks, when necessary.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years employee relations experience in unionized, manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of California and Federal OSHA laws with industrial case management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of EEOC, labor codes and fair employment regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people.
