About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
IDIQ & Task Order
Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to lead the planning and execution of IDIQ & task orders for the M-SHORAD program. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of the M-SHORAD production contracts within the allocated budget and schedule.
The DPM will collaborate closely with the Program Manager and other stakeholders to manage contract requirements, supplier coordination, equipment fielding, retrofit activities, procurement, corrective actions, and integrated solution development.

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
- Lead the execution of assigned IDIQ & development task orders.
- Lead proposal development and create associated kick-off packages in response to customer RFPs.
- Develop project plans and schedules in collaboration with GDLS Engineering, major subcontractors, and other functional organizations. Ensure synchronization and integration of schedules between GDLS and subcontractor partners, including formal IMS deliveries to the customer per contract requirements.
- Manage all projects within agreed-upon contract scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality deliverables, customer satisfaction, and product safety for the Soldier.
- Ensure timely completion of all project milestones in alignment with internal processes.
- Forecast engineering workforce needs for assigned projects.
- Identify and address critical challenges in a timely manner, managing them to closure.
- Provide project status updates internally and to the customer, including opportunities to interface with leadership.
- Develop and utilize robust metrics to monitor project performance.
Qualifications Sought
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline preferred; other disciplines considered with relevant experience.
- Advanced or additional degree in Business Administration is a plus
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in defense or a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated project engineering experience overseeing simple or complex technical projects.
- Strong understanding and application of fundamental project management concepts, practices, and procedures to plan and execute engineering projects.
- Proven experience interfacing with customers on technical matters and leading multi-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to direct and consult on technical analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other tools to develop presentations and media displays.
- Knowledge of business finances, project budget management, forecasting, scheduling tools, and critical path analysis.
- Exposure to Oracle applications, and Teamcenter.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD clearance and passport.
- Occasional domestic travel required production facilities, government locations, and/or suppliers.
