We are seeking a Senior Bridge/Structural Engineer for the Transportation Engineering Group in our Albuquerque Office. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the analysis and design of bridges and transportation-related structures, demonstrated project management capability, and in-depth knowledge of the Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, and Bureau of Indian Affairs bridge design procedures.



Responsibilities

    Design of bridge structures in various geographic locations in accordance with various state, federal, and tribal standards.
  • Serve as a Project Manager for projects that are primarily bridge-focused.
  • Serve as the bridge discipline lead on projects that include bridge elements.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance on bridge engineering issues.
  • Mentor and train staff to expand bridge/structural engineering expertise.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality of bridge work to meet client and business objectives.
  • Implement company policies and procedures for the execution of projects.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • BS in civil engineering
  • Relocation is available
  • 7-10 years of experience in the design of bridges and transportation-related structures.
  • Professional Engineer registration is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. New Mexico is preferred.

  • Proficient in common structural engineering software such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, LPile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD.
  • Proficient in CAD design software, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
  • Ability to effectively use these tools for planning, communication, and collaboration with project teams and clients.
  • Advanced understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques.
  • Familiar with timber and masonry design for bridges.
  • Knowledge of any DOT experience is required, NMDOT project development policies and procedures is a plus
  • Ability to independently plan, schedule, and perform multiple projects/assignments.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

The pay range for this position in New Mexico is $120,000 to $150,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and the location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
