The selected candidate can sit anywhere within the Indiana service territory aligned to a Duke Energy facility Position Summary The Economic Development Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth across Duke Energy's service territory by helping industrial and commercial customers choose the right place to invest, expand, and thrive. Success in this role depends on strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to build productive relationships with external partners such as economic development organizations, site consultants, and local leaders. The work is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires strong strategic thinking to support complex customer projects that bring new jobs and investment to the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with local, regional, and state economic development organizations, site consultants, and key stakeholders to advance Duke Energy's economic development priorities and goals. Manage economic development opportunities within the assigned territory, overseeing projects from an initial lead to a public announcement. Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to support project requirements, leveraging strong coordination, communication, and relationship-building skills to develop competitive solutions, align stakeholders, and drive growth. Support and promote Duke Energy economic development programs, ensuring communities effectively utilize available resources to foster sustainable growth and long-term vitality. Collaborate closely with team members to meet shared operational needs and contribute to the ongoing development, refinement, and implementation of economic development policies and procedures.

Working Conditions
Field Mobility Classification - Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location The selected candidate can sit anywhere within the Indiana service territory aligned to a Duke Energy facility
