Job Description

Server

Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour plus tips

What you will be doing:

  • Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Presents menu and specials, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
  • Serving food and beverage items to guests
  • Handle cash and remittance; collects payment from customers.
  • Stocking of stations
  • Maintain cleanliness of restaurant; clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course.
  • Following established service guidelines and practices; continually demonstrate the Service Principles with every interaction with guest and colleagues.
  • Carrying out other duties and responsibilities that may be requested by your teammates or manager.
  • Maintain a positive service attitude at all times and be willing to help and advise guests with all questions and requests they may have.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Previous food and beverage experience required. Basic food and wine knowledge required
  • Minimum of one-year experience as a server in a fine dining restaurant is preferred
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • High energy level; friendly; outgoing; team player, good organizational skills; salesmanship

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
