Job Description

As our new Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be working across a wide range of project deliveries areas and have a desired focus area in energy, central utilities and infrastructure projects at industrial facilities. The candidate will work with experienced project managers and construction managers who will provide mentoring and technical leadership across the life cycle of project delivery.

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program.
  • Desire to work in chemical, power, and industrial market segment.
  • Desire and ability to work at industrial facilities gathering data for designs (expect <10% travel).
  • Detail oriented individual.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing design work in each engineering discipline. The candidate should also expect to work in industrial facility with construction managers, clients and trades implementing a variety of types of industrial projects.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to provide field construction details.
  • Documentation of work performed through the use of daily logs and weekly/monthly reports
  • Developing bid packages for scopes of work that Ramboll will send out to solicit proposals from subcontractors.
  • Active participation in bid evaluation teams
  • Visiting job sites as required to oversee construction activities. A mix of day trips and overnight weekly domestic trips should be expected.
  • Adhering to the policies and standards set forth in the Ramboll's Project Execution Manual.
  • Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Ramboll's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an hourly rate between $22 and $25 an hour. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
