Facilities Superintendent

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Plant Superintendent for our Air Separation facilities at our Memphis-Riverport location. This position will report to the Facilities Manager.

The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met, and the facilities are operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. The role manages a team of plant technicians at the facility. This is a front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility. This position requires a combination of office and field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage plant technicians including site instrument technician
• Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards
• Maximize efficiency and operating capacity of the plant
• Troubleshoot plant process & equipment problems and implement solutions
• Special projects lead
• If needed, assist at other locations in TN
• Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate audits
• Assist with coordination of maintenance and project work with reliability centers and capital project teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution
• Maintain documentation of equipment and process
• Responsible for process safety information related to plant activities (MOC, HWP)
• Interfaces and communicates directly with pipeline customers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree recommended (not required)
• Required minimum 3-10 years of experience in operations
• Working knowledge of industrial gas plant processes
• Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
• Working knowledge of Hazardous work permits and Management of Change
• Excellent communication, team interaction and presentation skills
• Self-starter who is comfortable working independently, effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision
• Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
