Overview

The Clinical Solutions Architect leads cross-functional collaboration to design and implement scalable, strategic solutions aligned with organizational goals. The Solution Architect bridges technical and business teams to translate stakeholder needs into actionable requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.

The position oversees solution design across platforms like Epic, Infor, and ServiceNow, applying agile methodologies and governance principles to optimize delivery. The Solution Architect also manages documentation, platform integration, and project execution while promoting best practices in stakeholder engagement and system development. The ideal candidate will have medical imaging, nursing, or provider workflow experience.

Key Qualifications:

    Experience supporting clinical workflows with an emphasis on Epic and related applications
  • Ability understand patient flow to document requirements translating to technical design with a focus on usability while and balancing regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
  • Collaborates with clinical, operational, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering Documentation: Lead requirements gathering and documentation by evaluating current capabilities, identifying portfolio gaps, and assessing build-vs-buy options to inform strategic roadmaps. Collaborate with leadership and governance teams to align IT solutions with organizational goals using lean and agile methodologies.
  • Solution Design Development: Design and develop scalable, strategic solutions across platforms like Epic, Infor, and ServiceNow, while collaborating with stakeholders to optimize systems, workflows, and business processes that support Children's Mercy's organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet evolving operational needs, translating business requirements into actionable technical deliverables. Facilitate cross-functional communication, oversee documentation, support application development, and guide vendor and budget decisions for new system implementations.
  • Technical Expertise, Platform Integration Optimization: Apply deep technical expertise to design and optimize platform solutions that meet stakeholder needs, enhance operational efficiency, and align with organizational strategy. Communicate complex concepts clearly, resolve technical issues, and contribute to governance discussions to guide IT priorities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years' experience in information systems, software development or related experience.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $48.12/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
