Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Summary:

This position supports Quality Management System compliance by applying policies, procedures, and work instructions, while conducting audits across departments to ensure adherence to company standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and computer skills, broad knowledge of production processes, and the ability to assist with training, process audits, and hardware surveillances to drive quality and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

Level A:

  • Experience working with Quality Management System Policies and Procedures. (Standard Acceptance Notes, Quality Work Instructions, and Quality Sectional Procedures)
  • Ability to comprehend Company Policies, Procedures, and Specifications. Auditing mechanics in different departments throughout the campus.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.
  • Overall knowledgeable in production processes.
  • Good computer skills. (Must be able to navigate required computing systems)
  • Assist in training as applicable to job roles.
  • Perform process and hardware audits and surveillances.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be able to work any shift..
  • Quality Inspection experience in Aerospace Industry..
  • All Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (workkeys.com) or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment. Delay in completing your WorkKeys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date. You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 + years Aerospace experience. (preferred with Spirit)
  • Working knowledge and experience in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize through 6-8 audits per day.
  • Auditing Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience using MES, EWI, SAP systems, SMART Sheet.
  • Good communication skills written and verbal.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $27.55/hour, with potential to earn up to $45.04/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
