Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Project Manager based in Indianapolis, IN. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of strategic projects, keeping a detailed and technical view of the project operations from start to finish, monitoring and reporting on the project progress throughout the launch.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $85,000 - $115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

What you will do
  • Develop and manage detailed, cross-functional project plans aligned to the broader transformation portfolio, ensuring defined scope, ownership, and measurable outcomes.
  • Execute strategic initiatives from concept through implementation while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain structured governance, including project documentation, status reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready updates.
  • Partner with functional leaders across Commercial, Operations, Finance, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment, resource coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Identify interdependencies across initiatives and proactively manage risks, trade-offs, and resource constraints.
  • Monitor financial performance, track budget variances, and support business case validation where applicable.
  • Facilitate decision-making discussions and escalate critical risks or barriers in a timely and structured manner.
  • Drive adoption by supporting change readiness, stakeholder communication, and post-launch stabilization activities.
  • Identify operational gaps and recommend scalable process improvements aligned to transformation objectives.
What we require
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or other related field
  • 2+ years project management work experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives impacting commercial or operational performance.
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders and facilitating decision-making discussions.
  • Strong analytical capability with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Working knowledge of project governance frameworks and structured reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project or CRM tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Power BI) preferred.
What we prefer
  • CAPM certification or equivalent formal project management training.
  • Exposure to change management methodologies (Prosci, ADKAR, etc.).
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling or ROI tracking related to commercial programs.
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments preferred.
