$3,637.87 to $4,001.66 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting and/or implementing assigned Public Works projects. May supervise subordinate staff.



REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering related to the area of assignment PLUS five (5) years of engineering experience in design of construction plans and stormwater analysis.OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering related to the area of assignmentPLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in a section related to the area of assignment. Supervisory experience is preferred. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, following requirements set forth in Florida Statute 471, is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or manmade disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
