IT HRMS Administrator The HRMS Administrator is responsible for the configuration, governance, and ongoing optimization of the Dayforce (formerly known as Ceridian) system. This role owns backend system architecture including job structures, pay configuration, security roles, workflows, and effective dating logic. This is not a transactional HRIS role. The ideal candidate operates as a system architect, ensuring that all changes align with payroll accuracy, data integrity, leadership hierarchy logic, and operational structure. Job Duties & Responsibilities: System Configuration & Architecture * Configure and maintain Dayforce modules including Employment Status, Job Assignments, Pay Groups, Pay Grades, Position Management, and Security * Manage job family structures and billing classifications to ensure alignment with operational and payroll standards * Oversee effective dating governance to prevent override conflicts and payroll disruptions * Maintain system integrity across multi site and multi division structures * Partner with HR and operational leadership to design scalable system solutions Workflow & Form Management * Design and enhance XML based Dynamic Forms within Dayforce * Configure approval workflows and routing logic * Ensure form changes align with backend table structures and payroll timing * Test and validate new configurations prior to production release Security & Access Control * Configure and maintain role based security aligned with job eligibility and leadership hierarchy * Troubleshoot visibility and access issues while protecting system governance * Maintain Org Leader and Direct Leader derivation logic * Prevent over permissioning while ensuring appropriate operational access Time & Payroll Impact Oversight * Analyze impact of job, pay, and transfer changes on time approval flows and payroll * Support payroll integrity through careful review of effective date sequencing * Collaborate with Payroll and Operations to resolve discrepancies * Identify and escalate high risk system impacts Data Integrity & Imports * Manage recurring data imports and templates * Validate data before and after system loads * Correct configuration misalignments tied to pay grades or job assignments * Develop controls to prevent invalid data entry Cross Functional Collaboration * Serve as primary HRIS liaison to HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and Operations * Partner with external Dayforce consultants when necessary * Provide structured executive summaries for leadership decision making * Support post implementation stabilization and hypercare efforts Required Qualifications * Minimum 3 to 5 years hands on system configuration experience * Direct experience with backend system setup, not limited to end user transactions * Strong understanding of effective dating, payroll impact, and job architecture * Experience building or modifying XML based forms within Dayforce * Experience managing security roles and leadership derivation logic * Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data validation Preferred Qualifications * Experience in multi site or multi division environments * Experience supporting Dayforce implementation or major system redesign * Knowledge of payroll processing logic * Experience working with recurring data imports Competencies & Attributes * Independent decision maker with strong analytical thinking * High attention to detail and data integrity * Comfortable working in high accountability environments * Strong communicator across technical and non technical audiences * Ability to take ownership and act decisively * Calm under pressure and deadline driven What Success Looks Like * Payroll is protected through disciplined configuration management * System changes are implemented thoughtfully and with impact awareness * Leadership visibility and security are aligned correctly * Data integrity is maintained across all divisions * Stakeholders trust the system and the administrator managing it
