The major function of Campus Health is providing outpatient care to more than 34,000 NC State students. Some level of nurse advice is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Essential Job Duties	The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care for students of North Carolina State University that are eligible to use Campus Health Services. This is a nine-month position that will align with the NCSU Fall and Spring academic calendar (approx. August-April). 1. Direct Patient Care & Clinical Services Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and reassessments using current evidence-based objective tests and measures Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable goals, including home exercise programs Administer physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, non-manual interventions, and modalities as appropriate Provide patient education related to diagnosis, treatment plans, injury prevention, and discharge planning Provide preventative education to the campus population Deliver physical therapy services under physician orders and within scope of practice 2. Documentation & Regulatory Compliance Complete all required clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries Complete billing and coding of services in accordance with institutional, State, and Federal requirements Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations Adhere to all applicable State, Federal, professional laws, and NCSU and Campus Health Services policies and procedures 3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Education Communicate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient evaluations, progress, and discharge planning Participate in interdisciplinary care activities and contribute to team dynamics within Campus Health Services Provide direction and supervision to physical therapy students and volunteers in accordance with State Practice Acts and applicable guidelines Plan and conduct in-service trainings on physical therapy and related topics for students, staff, and community groups 4. Professional Development, Safety & Administrative Support Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing competence hours as required by the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Maintain a safe working environment and comply with departmental policies and infection control protocols Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Health Services Director, Medical Director, or Physical Therapy Director

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	Graduation from a nationally accredited physical therapy program, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in physical therapy. Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of North Carolina. Evidence of working in orthopedics for a minimum of two years.
Other Required Qualifications	Experience working with an orthopedic patient population, including post surgical patients. Experience documenting in Electronic Medical Records.
Preferred Qualifications	Ability and confidence to work independently: This position will be primarily located at NCSU Campus Health on Centennial Campus.
Required License(s) or Certification(s)	Current license to practice physical therapy in North Carolina from the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Current CPR license.
