About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitation Technician to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Sanitation Technician, you will ensure production equipment and facility areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, and ready to support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1st Shift
• Hours: 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM
• Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $22 per hour

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Execute sanitation processes to ensure equipment and production areas meet food safety and operational standards
• Operate sanitation and waste removal equipment to maintain cleanliness and support efficient production
• Apply cleaning chemicals and sanitizers according to SSOPs and safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate sanitation and cleaning records in compliance with regulatory and company requirements
• Support and train new sanitation team members in proper cleaning procedures and equipment usage
• Uphold safety standards by maintaining and properly using required PPE
• Work both independently and collaboratively to complete routine and major sanitation tasks

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or light industrial environments
• 5+ years of sanitation or janitorial experience
• Forklift certification
• Ability to operate sanitation equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers)
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing, bending, and lifting as needed
• Ability to work assigned shift, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Experience in food manufacturing sanitation
• Knowledge of chemical handling and MSDS requirements
• Familiarity with SSOPs and GMP standards
• Experience training or mentoring teammates
• Experience using steam cleaners or industrial sanitation systems
