Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals
- Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that SWIFT provided software is installed, configured, and supported to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Requires knowledge for different services provided by the SWIFT network
- Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
- Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
- Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Implement solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Facilitate team planning ceremonies against backlog/prioritized work
- Manage risk/dependencies/impediments for one team
- Participates in or supports delivery of architecture designs and implementations
- Collaborate with own team and across teams; ask questions to obtain views from others
- Tracks the effectiveness of solutions through KPI's
- Incorporate technical and financial factors when comparing different approaches to solutions
- Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
- Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years in Technology industry
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in installing patches, maintaining, troubleshoot and testing SWIFT products: SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, SWIFT Net Link
- 3+ years of experience with applications running on AiX or Linux operating systems
- 1+ years of experience with Agile project delivery
- 3+ year experience managing completion of application related documentation to meet risk, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Able to demonstrate a knowledge of all SWIFT messaging formats
- Demonstrated experience in SWIFT protocols
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, visual presentations, and effective listening skills
- Ability and desire to think creatively to deliver business results both independently and as part of a team
- Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy
- Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team
- Ability to answer teams Agile/waterfall framework questions
- General awareness of testing practices but has not been involved in hands on testing
- Basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices
- Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
- Possesses an understanding of architecture and bank standards
- Knowledge of data management practices and technologies but has not been hands on with the development of a data system
- Basic understanding of experience design principles and familiar with the brand and accessibility guidelines
Desired skills:
- Experience in Alliance Messaging Hub
- Good understanding of the SDLC lifecycle
- Experience with SWIFT Hardware Security Modules
- Experience with infrastructure upgrade/replacement projects
- Industry Formats - Knowledge of ISO20022 Payment Format
- Emerging Payments - Knowledge of US RTP, SEPA Instant, Fed Now or relevant Realtime payment processing formats
Pay range: $55.07 - $63.07
