As a HealthShare Credit Union Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the financial services industry, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, member-focused environment. You will assist in various departments, including member services, loans, operations, special projects and marketing, helping the credit union deliver excellent financial products and services to its members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Support: Assist members with general inquiries, account management, and banking transactions under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Loan Processing: Support the loan department by helping prepare documentation, reviewing applications, and providing administrative assistance as needed.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records in member databases, assist in preparing financial reports, and support audit preparations.
  • Member Account Assistance: Assist in setting up new member accounts, processing changes to existing accounts, and ensuring compliance with credit union policies.
  • Marketing, Special Projects & Outreach: Contribute to member outreach campaigns, including promotional materials, social media content, and event planning for financial literacy initiatives.
  • Administrative Tasks: Support various departments with clerical duties, including filing, organizing, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to multitask.
  • Basic understanding of financial products and services is a plus.

Experience: Previous internship or part-time experience in customer service, banking, or finance is a plus but not required.

Other:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
