Opening in Fall 2025, Omni Fort Lauderdale will provide South Florida with 120,000 square feet of event space, new food and beverage options, a Natural Spring inspired full-service spa and entertainment pedestrian plaza featuring high-end shopping, amphitheater, charter boat docking and beautiful promenade. The new iconic landmark offers unforgettable views of the Atlantic paired with unrivalled convenience and intelligently designed meeting spaces. The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.
Job Description
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views. Provide timely, service-focused support to internal departments by efficiently managing food, beverage, and general storerooms and ensuring prompt delivery of goods.
Responsibilities
Accurately receive, store, and distribute products to all departments in accordance with established procedures and management direction.
- Inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips to verify accuracy, quality, and quantity.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable to research and resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
- Process departmental orders and assist in clearing outstanding items on the Open PO report.
- Receive and process retail merchandise in the inventory system and prepare items for distribution to outlets.
- Communicate with corporate retail buyers to resolve receiving and product issues.
- Monitor stock levels and report out-of-stock items to support timely replenishment.
- Identify and report obsolete or slow-moving inventory to management.
- Maintain strict adherence to storeroom operating hours and access controls.
- Assist with month-end inventory counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Partner with Loss Prevention to maintain a secure loading dock and control delivery traffic.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas, including dry storage, coolers, freezers, and liquor storage.
- Ensure storerooms are properly secured at the end of each day.
- Verify all incoming goods meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Follow all company operating procedures, safety standards, and local health regulations.
- Provide courteous, service-oriented interactions with guests and team members at all times.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in purchasing/receiving and/or previous hotel experience preferred.
- Must be service-oriented and possess a friendly approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
- Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, cleanliness, and teamwork.
- The ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks/assignments and while working as a team player.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
- Ability to read requisitions and complete orders as requested.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to input information accurately and efficiently into computer systems.
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:
- Move, bend, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to push, pull, and place objects up to 75 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Ability to squat, bend, and reach overhead.
- Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.

- Desktop computer (Oracle, Birchstreet, Kronos and Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine and scanner. Walk-in refrigerators, hand truck and lift-jack dolly
