Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products or services from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products.What You'll Do: * Delivers on product strategy and plans for multiple product capabilities; may undertake some or all activities on a product roadmap * Contributes to, and executes, on feature/capability level strategy spanning 6-12 months with guidance * Reviews multiple data sources (e.g., customer feedback, product dependencies, product performance) to develop prioritization plan * Ensures prioritization plan informs development of short to medium term capability roadmap * Understands clear themes and alignment between product capability roadmap and broader product strategy and goals * Undertands indicators for making technical trade-offs using success metrics/data measures * Collects and summarizes product pain points, business challenges, and feature requirements from both interna and external customers * Understands customer needs and evaluates product feedback * Generates ideas to translate to positive product outcomes * Works closely with all relevant cross-functional teams to prepare a case for product changes by analyzing associated costs and benefits of changes in scope * Participates and plays active learning role in community engagement events and forums (e.g., councils, coaching forums) Minimum Qualifications: Typically: Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD + 0 years of related experience Preferred Qualifications: Varies based on the team and business needs | Preferred Qualifications are desired education, experience, and skills that are in addition to Minimum Qualifications Why Cisco? The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $135,800.00 - $222,400.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $122,000.00 - $197,900.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
