Spring Harbor Hospital, located in Westbrook, Maine, is currently seeking to add an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to its Intensive Care Unit. This is a 6-bed general adult psychiatric unit, which serves patients who may have experienced acute psychiatric illnesses and any other co-occurring disorders. It will provide a low stimulus environment focusing on both safety and symptom stabilization with the goal of transferring the patient to another adult unit when appropriate. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, great communication skills and the ability to work with a team of dedicated members. This role allows you to provide highly individualized care to our communities most acute psychiatric patients and their symptoms. Summary: The Registered Nurse - Charge - Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care.
