Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Hollywood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and access concerns with calm professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license and an armed guard card or license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout residential streets, common areas, amenities, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and community entry procedures, verify authorization as directed, and document visitor and/or contractor activity in required logs or systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or local public services as needed.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • CPO may be completed post hire.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Have a DD214 with honorable discharge OR associates degree with 60 college credits OR police academy certificate OR corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
