Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Cost Account Manager supporting production and Installation for the Fire Control Program working COLUMBIA/Dreadnought, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for managing financial performance and programmatic goals for teams supporting installation and test of Tactical and Training Equipment on submarines and shore facilities. In your efforts, you'll be responsible for coordinating with many teams internally and externally to determine solutions for your assigned efforts.

Cost Account Manager responsibilities fall into several main categories. Some of the broad categories include:

  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for assigned projects, overseeing the financial performance and ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Develop and manage control account plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support project decision-making
  • Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards
  • Monitor project financial performance, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to stay within budget and schedule constraints
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and support project execution
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and government contracting regulations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, project management, or related roles
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis tools, and project management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and practices
  • Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Workplace Options:

This position is Hybrid/Flex.

While on-site, you will be a part of the Pittsfield, MA Engineering Team.

Target salary range: USD $86,091.00/Yr. - USD $93,154.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
