New Jersey's academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (
RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Aligned with Rutgers University-New Brunswick and collaborating university-wide,
RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.

Rutgers School of Nursing is seeking an Executive Director provides overall leadership and direction for the
FXB Center and its grant funded programs.
Duties include:
- Upholds the principles and serves as an advocate for the FXB Center's mission.
- Drives all program strategies, ensuring alignment with Rutgers School of Nursing and Rutgers Health,creating opportunities for sustained grant funding through the cultivation of new and existingcollaborations.
- Oversees approximately 35 million dollars in state and federal grant funding, and 200 staff, with 6 directreports.
- With the Dean of the School of Nursing and the FXB Executive Leadership team, create an overall visionand plan for assessing the needs of the Center, implementation of new programs and activities, andevaluation.
- Defines the organization structure and reporting relationships across programs.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or other health-related profession, with a minimum of 7 years progressively responsible leadership and program management experience in public health with a focus on at-risk populations at greatest risk for health inequities, to include HIV and children in the child welfare system.
- Well-developed business skills to include administrative and fiscal oversight of grant-funded programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage in an interdisciplinary setting and maintain and develop relationships across Rutgers University.
- Significant experience with external funders to include federal, state, local, and/or private.
- Accomplished grant writer/administrator with grant writing expertise and proven success in attaining funding. Knowledge of issues faced by high HIV-prevalence populations and vulnerable populations, such as children in the child welfare system.
- Excellent writing skills, including report writing.
- Strong work ethic with experience in rapid turnaround projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively make formal presentations and communicate to a wide array of audiences.
