Overview

The Azure CoreAI team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to accelerate the growth of Azure Content Understanding, a newly launched Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) service, by defining and delivering innovative features driven by customer insights and market trends. In this high-impact role, you will shape solutions that empower enterprise customers across industries to extract structured insights from unstructured content at scale. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the product growth for Azure Document Intelligence, Azure Translator, Azure Language, and Azure Vision.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will define product vision, identify emerging trends, and drive product-led growth in collaboration with engineering, research, design, and go-to-market teams. This is a unique opportunity to shape a foundational capability in Microsoft's AI portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Drive building world-class AI application stacks that will delight enterprises and developers, delivering proven business results.
  • Own a product area and be responsible for understanding customer needs and behaviors, defining product requirements, managing end-to-end product development, launches and iterations.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-first, product development cycle.
  • Translate business goals into strategy, user experience and technical requirements in close collaboration with UX, Data Science, Engineering, AI research, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Define goals and performance indicators, set up and oversee experiments, measure success with data and research.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to build exceptional consumer-grade applications.
  • Engage with customers and partners tovalidatehypotheses, gather feedback, and evangelize the product vision.
  • Ensure alignment with Microsoft's principles for responsible AI, privacy, and compliance.
  • Embody Microsoft's CultureandValues


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product management, software development, or related fields
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience launching and scaling AI-powered products, ideally in software as a service (SaaS) or Cloud based services.
  • Experience building products and solutions on Azure Foundry or other LLM GenAI platforms.
  • Experience with prototypingnew ideasusing AI and managing the idea-to-feature lifecycle.
  • Proven technical acumen and ability to collaborate deeply with engineering and research teams.
  • Familiarity with document processing, natural language processing (NLP), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) or knowledge mining technologies.
  • Background in enterprise software as a service (SaaS) or platform product management.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
